On a shared tour, the guide will lead you and other people who have registered at the same time.
On a private tour, the guide is only available to your group and will only take people who have registered on your behalf.
For shared tours, we limit the number of participants to 12 per tour.
Private tours are available for 1 to 150 people.
Our shared tours start and finish at our Paris Bike Tour agency, ideally located at 13 rue Brantôme, 75003 Paris (Quarttier du Marais).
Our private tours can also be combined with delivery or collection of bikes and accessories. Contact us ! (link form)
Please arrive 15 minutes before departure time for all our cycle tours.
You must book at least 24 hours in advance. You can also come directly to the site to book a tour, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer one on the day. A phone call is highly recommended!
For our shared tours, we offer comfortable city bikes with mechanical or electric assistance (e-bike), depending on the tour requested.
For our private tours, we can also, on request, provide Vélos Tous Chemins (VTC), ideal for our Paris-Versailles days, for example.
Yes, we include a 15-minute break in each of our guided bike tours of Paris.
The law stipulates that children under the age of 12 must wear a helmet.
However, we recommend that everyone, whatever their age, wear a helmet when cycling. Helmets are available free of charge for both guided tours and bike hire.
Yes, for safety reasons, the minimum age required is 12 for our shared mechanical bike tours and 14 for our shared electric bike tours.

Yes, Paris Bike Tour provides guided tours all year round and ponchos in case of rain.
It's important to know that we give priority to cycle paths as much as possible.
What's more, our shared tours are limited to 12 participants with our experienced guides.
For our private tours, we always provide an accompanying person in addition to the guide for groups of 15 or more. If you wish, you can of course request a guide for groups of less than 15 people.
Each of our guided tours lasts around 3 hours.
For private tours, we can determine the duration together at the time of booking, depending on the theme, the tour, your needs, etc.
No. The tours are open to anyone who can balance on a bicycle.
Please note that electrically-assisted bicycles (EABs) require the same balance as muscle bicycles (also known as "classic bicycles"). EABs also require you to be able to ride while lifting one hand from the handlebars, in order to control the power of the motor on the dashboard.
Our city bikes have a low gooseneck frame to make them easier for everyone to ride.
Finally, our guides, who are used to the very varied profiles of our visitors, adapt the pace of the group to ensure that everyone is comfortable.
No. For safety reasons, tours are made with our own bikes, which are checked before each departure.
However, if you have a bike adapted to your specific needs, for example a push bike, a crankset adapted to your wheelchair, etc., you can take part in our tours with your adapted bike. However, we cannot guarantee to repair your own bike in the event of a breakdown on the route, as we do not necessarily have the parts required for this type of bike. We therefore advise you to bring your own repair kit.
Since we started in 2022, Paris has rethought its entire cycling infrastructure! From non-existent, it has grown to more than 1,000 km of cycle paths and lanes, and even a green lane right in the middle of the city! Motorised traffic is limited to 30 kph on almost all streets, apart from the boulevards des Maréchaux and a few other roads, which we are avoiding. There are more and more contra-sens bicycle lanes, which ensure good visibility with other road users. Cycle lanes at traffic lights are almost the norm. Lastly, pedestrian zones are also welcoming to cyclists, at walking pace. Paris has risen to 8th place on the index of European cycling cities (source: https://copenhagenizeindex.eu/)! Many Parisians have taken up cycling and attitudes have changed, and we're very proud to be playing our part, with flexibility and courtesy!
