Guided tour of the Louvre
A two hour guided tour of the Louvre and its masterpieces: Venus de Milo, Van Gogh’s self-portrait, and the Mona Lisa.
When the king was already well installed at Versailles, the Louvre, while no longer being the royal residence, housed the king’s art collection. Then there was a revolution and everything changed: In 1793 the Louvre became the National Museum of Fine Art and was opened to everyone. In 1989 the long awaited and controversial glass pyramid was completed. The Louvre is one of the largest museums in the world and by far the most visited. Your conference-guide will help you enjoy and appreciate a wide range of famous works of art dating from ancient Egypt to the mid-nineteenth century. The tour is divided into three parts: sculptures, paintings, furniture / jewelry.
