The Euro 2016

The Euro 2016 Championship is about to take the city of Paris by storm! Football fans and supporters are geared up and ready. The entire City of Lights will be decked out in its national colors and unfortunately for the recent bout of Seine floods:  Fans and spectators alike have already been swept away by the football frenzy.

From one corner of Paris to the other, events and pop up spots are promising us a month of football mania. It all starts with the kick off this Friday night! If you weren’t able to get stadium tickets for the France-Romania match on June 10th, fret not! In Paris there’s no reason to watch it alone in front of your TV. With so many options to see the match projected on giant screens in bars all over the city, you’re sure to not miss the energetic ambience of a sold-out stadium! Enthusiastic shouts and victory cries will be welcome, especially at the festive Eiffel Tower Fan Zone that will be accessible to all (even on bikes!) on every day of the matches as well as in our favorite football clubs. Other Parisian bars will be offering good music, pizzas, beers and cocktails from different countries according to the teams we’ll be seeing on the pitch. Our favorite: Le Ballon, in the 3rd district. You might be thinking, sure, it’s because it’s right next to Paris Bike Tour’s office, but their recognition is well deserved! At half-time, you’ll be treated to the sight of football jerseys from all across the globe, as well as enjoy their jersey customization atelier.

You can also expect to roll up your sleeves on the playgrounds of the Villette : foosball, table football and even some impressive displays of freestyle football! For collectors: Video games and coveted FIFA posters will set the mood. They’ve even thought about the little aspiring football fans with Little Villette. For us, when we see a ball, it’s hard not to think about wheels: we’re on the lookout for the perfect field to organize a match of Cycle Ball. We already have the whistles, just for the fans…
